I believe that the applications figures are actually "started" applications and not "complete" applications. In a way the first cut is the lengthy and multi phase application. Those who are not serious will likely bail early. I have told this story on here before but when my DS was doing a plan B school application and it only took 15 minutes to complete he kept saying "Is that it?"

Only 49 from NAPS?? How can that be right? Over 200 graduated in May. I expect a handful not to earn an appointment, but that's an incredibly low yield. What am I missing?

That's only those NAPSters that were prior military. The total NAPSters appointed is found under the post-secondary section.
