Class Rank

My guidance councelor says our school "doesnt give out" class rank. will that be potentially problematic come admissions time next year?

no it won't be a problem. my school is a small private rigorous prep school and we don't give out rank either. they may heckle for an "estimated" rank, and i believe our councelor gives out percentiles or quartiles...

so to sum it up: its not really an issue

don't worry about it...i'm homeschooled (in case you can't put two and two together, that means i'm ranked first in a class of one) and i got an appointment.

This is what my regional commander told me to do, and I my LOA was dated two days after it:

Go to your head of guidance and ask them to send your regional commander a 'plain english' 'official' email stating that they do not calculate class rank. This eliminates a potentially damaging statistic for those of us who go to the top competitive schools.
