    Thanks for posting that article. Definitely needed the tissues when I finished reading it. It still amazes me how the Coast Guard steps in in so many situations. As I said before, when my son first started on this path, I had a very different view of what the USCG did!

    Thanks for posting, shellz. We have to be proud of the work our kids are doing on a daily basis. My son happens to be deployed now too, but in the cold north. Every one of them is doing something important on an everyday basis. The Coast Guard is a great service to be a part of, even if by association. :thumb:

    This is exactly why I want to go to the Academy .You do something that helps people, the ULTIMATE form of service.
