    Hello all,

I'm reapplying this year as a college applicant and I was wondering a few things. Since they wait for your first semester transcript, do they also group the college applicants together and have them compete only against each other? Or are we competing with the rest of the hs applicants as well?

Also, when should we expect to hear back regarding the college applicants?

    Thanks!

Great question I'd like to know as well! Also, are SAT scores a factor in the application process?I understand they are a college success predictor but for a college applicant there's nothing more to predict.

I believe they look at them as a group. However, I wouldn't say that college applicants compete only against each other or that there is some sort of quota for college applicants. It's more a case of comparing apples to apples.

College applicants typically hear around the time most candidates hear -- February and March. Some in April.
