    Hey all,
I just got back from orientation and did my best to get the classes which would best mirror the classes of a plebe. Here's my schedule so far:

    World History I
Calc I (Calc II was full)
    English II
    Foundations of Chemistry with lab
    Naval Science with lab

Does this look good? Also, this totals me at 17 hours which is pretty decent load.

Hey man I think you've got the right idea on your course selection. You took Chem, Clalc, and English so you definitely are mirroring the Academies Plebe year. I am in the same situation as you applying for the second time and going to be a college applicant. God luck hope to see you on I day for the class of 2013!

Nice, but yeah haha we do. I am going to be a freshman at Syracuse University in New York. What classes are you taking? Are either of you in NROTC? Unfortunately, that option isn't available to me so I'll be Army ROTC (which will still be fun, rewarding, and good back up if USNA doesn't work out again).

Classes look good. Now, do your very best in them.

Also, for the spring, try Physics if its available and especially if you didn't take it in h.s. You don't "need" it, as it's given to mids 3/C year, but having had some prep before USNA will be very helpful.

I am a rising high school senior and I will be taking my senior year classes at the local junior college I was wondering if you could please comment on my class load (should I take another class both semesters?)

Fall 2008: Calculus I, Literature (I was able to validate Composition), Chem 002 (I was able to validate the first semester and also the beginning Chem), Kick Boxing (I have to take a P.E. class to graduate), and independent study: U.S. Government AP

Spring 2008: Calculus II, Organic Chem I, and Engineering Physics (Physics with Calculus- I already took AP Physics B), and independent study: Microeconomics AP.
I am also going to try to take a Statistics class online through the college.
    Thank you!
    Very Respectfully,
    Kathleen

    CHEM 101- 3 part class
    ENG 105
    GOV and Politics
and since im in the honors college at asu i need to take this honors class called Human event-- Kind of equal to the professional and ethics classes at usna
--annnddd This stupid manditory class called ASU Experience

    for the spring semester
    -- Global politics
    -- pre-calc
-- honors science class with lab

I'll be doing the same thing at Virginia Tech and in the NROTC.

Unfortunately, I don't think Ill be able to take Calc 1, probably pre-calc. Anyone know how bad that would be to admissions?

    Amen, as always.

The only thing I would add is to ensure you get yourself in physical shape if you aren't already. Take it from someone who, 20 years later, STILL hasn't learned the lesson; Being in shape makes USNA SO much easier to deal with!
