College Fairs 2009 vs 2010

Just finished representing USCGA at a big College Fair in the Chicago suburbs and WOW, what a huge difference this year vs. last year. I spoke to nearly 10 times more students/parents this year compared to last year -- so many I nearly ran out of handouts! The folks I spoke to were top quality students and were taking notes and asking detailed questions. If this is happening across the country it could be a record year for applications to USCGA. Any other Admission Partners experiencing more interest in the academy at college fairs? A sign of the continued economic downturn?

Same here and unlike past years this year's candidates all seem motivated to complete their applications very early. Looks to be another nail biting year. Best of luck to all who are applying to any SA this year.

Uh, a bit late

Three days ago on October 20th we received an email invitation to an USCGA academy day on Monday, September 27! I read this several times and checked the calendar. Yes last month the 27th was a Monday! Really? I still think DS would have flown to New London (damaged And lost luggage) for overnight But it would have been nice to attend the homtown event. I wonder how many people showed! Lol.
