Hi all! Our dd has completed all of her application but her interview and cfa. We just found that she unfortunately did not receive a nomination this year. Although she plans to reapply next year, and has applied for a VP nom for this year, my question is whether or not she should complete her current application or withdraw her candidacy via email to the admissions administrator? She's a qualified candidate and has passed/completed her DODmerb. Her SAT/ACT math test scores are lower and has had a hard time pulling them up prior to the nomination interview. Is there any chance for NAPS still or without the nomination is she out completely?

IMPO She should complete the application. Although her chances sound slim, her chances will be 0 if she doesn't complete the application. I assume plans B and C are well along at this point in time?

Thank you kinnem! We worried that it might reflect negatively on her in next years application should she not complete the application. And she has asked our opinion but we have no idea, besides suggesting to finish only because it seems like the right thing to do especially if she wanted to reapply. But as far as NAPS or whatnot, i have no idea as to whether it was a requirement for consideration. She was invited to apply for nominations next year and her interviews were in excess of 40 minutes but no nomination. She is pushing forward with plans B & C. Thank you so much for responding!
