I have read that cadets buy/are issued a computer their first year. Can a 1st year bring his own computer and use it rather than the one issued by the academy?
I currently own a really nice gaming laptop. I know I won't have much time for gaming during the year, but would it be an issue if I brought it up anyway (just in case I DO have an ounce of free time at some point)? I wouldn't want to replace the one I would receive from the Academy (I would solely use the one I own now for "leisure")
Yeah, that is perfectly fine. I knew a few people who have an alienware laptops solely for video games. Just remember, if you use the USMA network, you are still subject to their regulations.
I know this thread is a little old but does the same apply to personal desktops? I just built my own mostly for games.
What about hooking your labtop up to a tv? Are Plebes allowed tvs?
