Hi!
My status just changed to "Conditional." Just curious as to what that means?
EDIT: I also already have 2 nominations from both Senators in my state and I have a third interview with my local representative this Saturday. Also, I am currently trying to resolve my DoDMERB status.

As I understand it, "Conditional" means you are being offered an appointment pending some outstanding items that need to be cleared.

You should be receiving a letter from USMMA that describes what those conditions are. It is called a TWE (Thin White Envelope).

Once the conditions are met, your status should change to "Principal".

CONGRATULATIONS!

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I feel like a Kid in a candy store! I guess I'll still take it with a grain of salt until the status switches to principal.

Definite CONGRATS. DS received the TWE today. He is also conditional. Letter states (in part):

"Congratulations! The Candidate Evaluation Board had recommended you for an appointment to the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) at King's Point, the premier Maritime Institution in the Nation. Accordingly, I have reserved an appointment for you contingent upon etc, etc, etc..."

Well done and get that Principal Status nailed down.
