Contacting Admissions

So, I turned in my STEM application the first week it was up, but I recently lettered in ice hockey at my school and wanted to add that to my application. I hit the contact admissions button on the USNA Admissions page and sent them a message with their message tool, but I was wondering if this is the correct way to contact them about updating an application, or if there is another way could anyone please tell me?

I'm not sure about STEM but I understand that NASS applications can't be augmented/updated after they're submitted.

Also, for STEM purposes, I'm not sure a letter in hockey (or any sport) will make any difference in whether you're accepted.
