Contracted army cadet transfer schools?

Has anyone here been an army national-scholarship winner and contracted cadet who transferred schools? How did the process go for you?
 
It is easy however the deadline is fast approaching

When is the deadline? I tried to contact my Bn.'s scholarship coordinator today, but he was out of the office! Really don't want to miss it.
 
I have heard mid-may but all of ours are already complete.
 
Are you already contracted and finishing your first year in college? If so, you will have to request the scholarship transfer through your battalion and have the support of both the losing and gaining battalions.

If you are a high school winner who is starting college in the fall read the insert that came with your offer letter. It explains how to request a transfer. You'll need to do it soon.
 
I am already contracted on a national scholarship and finishing my first year in college. The losing and gaining battalions are one, and the PMS is OK with it. Does anyone know how long it normally takes for it to be approved by Cadet Command, or when the deadline is specifically?
 
There is no deadline. Your battalion has to work with cadet command to get the change approved. These are questions you should be asking someone at your battalion. They are going to be the ones that make it happen quickly or take their time.
 
Are @clarksonarmy and @BAMA ROTC talking about the same thing, then? BAMA says there is a deadline, Clarkson says there is none. And I will certainly make sure to discuss this with by Bn. as soon as I can; in the meantime your answers have been very helpful.
 
I don't think we are. I think 'bama is referring to the high school scholarship transfer process, which is wrapping up soon. For you there is no deadline. You are already on contract, and you can REQUEST to transfer your scholarship at any time. It's just going to be a matter of the change in cost, everyone agreeing, and no change to your graduation date.
 
I won an AROTC national scholarship this year and cadet command said the deadline for transferring schools was May 4th. I don't know how strict this deadline is, but that is what they told me

Yes, I was referring to the HS scholarship transfer.
