So I received a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship to Michigan State University back in December. I became officially medically qualified around February, and I just received the letter asking for a confirmation of my school choice. Everything was going perfectly until 3 weeks ago I had a spontaneous pneumothorax and then about a week after that my lung collapsed again. The first time I just had a chest tube, but the second time it was corrected by way of pleural sclerosis. I'm finally out of the hospital, without a tube in my chest, and well on my way to being 100% again. My questions are, how do I get a change in my medical condition to dodmerb?, if the reoccurring pneumothorax has been corrected like mine will I need a waiver?, if so, would a waiver be likely in this situation? (I'm worried about the time frame that this happened in, so close to the start of the fall semester). I believe that's all I am looking to find out for the time being. Thanks in advance.
