Could I easily get rejected without receiving an email saying my application is under review?

Haven't received an email saying my application is under review, despite 4 other people I know who have applied have told me they received an email saying their application is under review? Feel as if the odds are against me.

The waiting stinks. Try your best to not let it get to you. Make sure you update your application with any additional achievements as they come in. If you are in contact with a coach you might check in with them. If you are concerned you didn't submit your application correctly you might reach out to the admissions officerIf you applied early action you should get a response in the next few weeks. Hang in there. There is still time.

Son was told by a coach his application is under review now and son has gotten no email saying that and Bear Den portal check mark has not been changed to in review, so it sounds like maybe things are not always updated.
