Since I attend a charter school and do not have a counselor, should I put my mom as my counselor for NROTC and AFROTC? Thanks:rolleyes:

No. We had an issue with the academic counselor being on summer vacation, so I asked about this. The purpose of the academic counselor recommendation is to verify your class rank and gpa that you put on the application.

I would ask the person assisting you from the Navy... the person who set up your interview.

I would suggest anyone official from the school -- Principal maybe? They just want verification of the data you supplied about grades and class rank on the application.

My DS used his principal. His counselor was available but she refused to participate in the process because she hates everything having to do with the
military. All 5 service academys and ROTC were fine with the principal instead of the counselor.
