I was accepted to the USAFA Prep School. The thing is, i haven't taken a math class in about 3 years and have been out of school for a little while. I'm wondering if the prep school will accomodate to people like that, and not force all kinds of work down our throats from the get go. Work load isn't an issue to me, it's just i think i'm going to need some refreshing in some of the pre-calc & calculus areas. I'm worried that like the first day they will be like heres what you need to do, do it and i won't even remember how to solve the equations. :eek3:

They will test you to place you in the proper class level. The Prep school is designed to get you ready to go up to the hill, hence the reason that it is not an accredited school. They don't want to be tied down to someone else's rules.

If you are prior enlisted, or even if you are not, there will be 40-50 others just like you. The prior enlisted have been out of high school\college for a couple of years on average.

It sounds like you may be are prior enlisted. My son is an athlete attending prep school. Everything we have learned about the prep school is that it is there to help you to be successful not trip you up. Also from what I understand the cadets are there for each other. There will be cadets there that have just finished calc in high school (like my son) that can help you and you will be able to help cadets like my son figure the regimental stuff out. He has never owned a pair of shoes in his life that he has had to be shined, so he is going to have a learning curve on a lot things. I know you are going to be a lot of help! Congratulations on your acceptance. You are going to do well!.... and if you see a big tall basketball player trying to figure how to shine Shaq size shoes give him some pointers okay.
