Two weeks ago a Coast Guard C-130, CG-1705, collided with a Marine Corps Super Cobra off the coast of California. Seven Coast Guardsmen and two Marines were lost.

CG-1705 bracelets will soon be available. The orange "LiveStrong" style rubber bracelets say "Crew of CG-1705" on one side and "Lost But Not Forgotten" on the other. Bracelets are being sold for $2. Larger donations are also welcome. All donations will be sent to the Coast Guard Foundation's "CG-1705 fund" while a small portion of bracelet sales may be used to purchase more bracelets for this fundraiser, dependent on demand. This is not-for-profit.

Cash and checks are accepted. Checks should be made out to the Coast Guard Foundation. They should indicate in the Memo line: CG-1705 family disaster relief, CG-1705 fallen heroes scholarship or the CG-1705 memorial service fund.

All order requests should be emailed to CG1705Bracelets@gmail.com. Name, Number of Bracelets, Donation Amount, Form of Payment, and their shipping addresses should be included. This information will be forwarded to the Coast Guard Foundation for all donations beyond bracelet purchases. Once orders have been received at that email, you will receive a reply with more information.

The Coast Guard cannot official endorse the CG-1705 Bracelets fundraiser.
