Crickets

Va19,
Hey hang in there. Not hearing anything at this point could be a good thing. If you haven't been told no, you are still in the game!!!

DS in same boat w/o a nom...waiting on any word at all. USAFA, Prep, Foundation...anything-all while visiting his last 3 colleges on the plan b list He has a big decision to make this next week so we can put down deposits.

DS had also called his MOC on another SA app, and was told had not heard anything yet as well.

Good luck!!!
Ditto in this part of AZ
same for our part of AZ

In NC-09, my son just received his TWE. As with many other folks, it looks like the AFROTC scholarship is the solid plan B.

I don't even know what to think. It seems like it is happening now. Are they just letters in emails or Are they actual portal updates?

I got both, email, portal status is "non-select" and a letter in the inbox. If you got one, you'll know.

Maybe there are doing it in Alphabetical order. It is so odd they are going out so late in the day.

Well our name begins with R and my DS just got his TWE. Texas A&M here we come on an AFROTC scholarship. It stinks because tonight is his prom and I really did not want this to happen today

Journey done for USAFA in VA. DS received an email and portal update declining to admit my awesome son! :) on to a new path. Good luck everyone. Thanks for whiling away the wait with us. (And our last name begins with a C). ;)

Just got the rejection email. Looks like it's Texas A&M for next year. We're going to take him out to eat and tell him how proud we are of him tonight.
Texas A&M is the best in the U.S. for your non-service academy "second choice." If you have ANY questions regarding the Corps of Cadets, which I assume your son will join, please reach out to me. I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. I can also put your son in touch with my son who is finishing up his fish year in the Corps in 5 weeks, then on to the Academy. Also, the Aggie Network is extremely strong and supportive. You will have tons of families assisting you. Please give your son a thumbs up and "Gig 'Em" from our family - he'll do great at Texas A&M and he'll be well prepared for his second application to the Academy.

See my reply to robofuzz! I extend my reply to all of you who are heading to Aggieland and the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M. Good Luck and Gig 'Em!
