CSI is a summer program for entering knobs at The Citadel, which is supposed to assist them in the transition from civilian life. Has anyone here done this program, or know anything about it? Is it worth the money? If anyone has gone to a similar military school (VMI, Norwich, etc), do they have a similar program, and what are your thoughts on that?

SF49ers, you've probably seen the following for the program's information, but I thought I'd post it for future reference to others:

The program came highly recommended to our son when he had been accepted there. Before accepting an appointment to USMMA, he had made up his mind to attend the CSI program. He felt it a serious advantage as he would gain college credit hours plus learn all the things he'd need to know about being successful there. CSI students are less likely to be involved in the statistics of attrition rates per their studies of the program. It is a hefty cost for the 4 weeks but keep in mind, it is mostly due to the college credit hours you receive. The Knob who'd hosted my son had attended and strongly advised son to do so as well. I know this isn't much help but am hoping others with more recent knowledge will be forthcoming. Good luck to you!

I have a friend who went to VMI's STP. He said definately do it.
