Well I have been selected to take part in CULP for 2013! This is probobly the best opportunity of my life so far (save the ROTC scholarship/contract). So far I only know my location, deployment date and return date. Does anyone know how long it takes for more information to be released; i.e. mission details, accompanying cadre, etc ?

Congrats! Last year my son received his orders (with the mission details) aabout 3-4 weeks after his initial notification in early January, via his army email. Where will you be going?

Thanks for the congrats! I will be going to Benin in Africa. Given the location, it will probobly be humanitarian (though I elected for military contact, which isn't a problem). However I did some research on the country and they seem fairly stable as far as African nations are concerned. They also have a sizable military given the country's overall size; so I may still get to do military-to-military contact. But like I said it doesn't matter what the mission is; this is an outstanding opportunity.

Indeed it is an outstanding opportunity and it will be a great experience! Last year my DS did a M2M mission in Taiwan.
