    I'm curious about something.
Do USNA Summer Seminar attendees also typically receive a CVW invitation in late summer or early fall if the Academy Admissions Board has some interest in them possibly eventually attending the Academy?

    Some do, some don't.

It can help to request a CVW if you would like one, but that is no guarantee of receiving one. Having most, if not all, of your application packet in is a huge plus.

As to why some NASS participants are offered CVWs and others aren't -- no clue. At the risk of a double negative:eek:, I would not take the fact a NASS attendee is not offered a CVW as a bad sign, especially if that person lives near USNA.

Very true statement. I'm currently a plebe who attended NASS and CVW, and my home is only an hour away from USNA. I was originally waitlisted for NASS and I didn't get a CVW invite until late-December if I remember correctly. I think they actually didn't send me an invite until I had already been accepted. So I would not consider having no CVW invite, particularly at this point in the year, a concern.
