Thanks Capt MJ. I need to renew my id while we are there. Husband thrilled to see the academy with son. So am I!
ID renewal info at link below. There used to be a full PSD on the Yard - that's been gone for years. The main det is at Ft. Meade. On certain days, they do appointment-only ID work on the Yard.

Ft. Meade is about a 20-30 minute drive away. They have a normal installation operation.
