Date Questions

Hi all, as I'm prepping to go to BEAST, my parents are asking a few questions about communication/visiting. They live close by so visiting is easy for them

1. Do we get our phones back during reorganization week, or is it not until after the Acceptance Day parade?

2. After BEAST when will we be allowed to walk into Highland Falls?

3. How long after BEAST until we will be allowed to ask for weekend pass?

While awaiting a reply here, have your parents connected with the local Parents Club? Those parents would be similar to yours in locality and many would have someone in '19, with fresh memories.

1. You will get your cell phone back during Reorgy.
2. A-Day, after the parade, is the first time you can leave post. You can go farther than Highland Falls during A-Day weekend (~75 miles?).
3. You will be given one pass per semester (if I remember correctly), but you can earn other passes or request a spirit pass for various away games. There are rules and restrictions for each of the passes. For the one pass per semester, if you have a specific weekend or event in mind, make sure you request it well in advance. Of course, passes can be denied, or approved & then denied at the last minute. There are also ETP (exception to policy) allowances given.

If you are not able to get a pass but your parents live close by, they can visit you on post (depending on your duties) or take you to dinner in Highland Falls.
