Today I recieved a notice from USNA stating that my height and weight is outside of admissions standards. They want me to complete the form however I don't know which DoDMERB approved specialist to go to for this.
I am 6'1" 240 lbs. and am currently in the midst of a football season at starting center and defensive tackle. I can run a mile in under 7 minutes so my fitness is most likely not at question. The letter stated that I have two weeks to complete the form and return it to the academy. With the form came a standard for my height (73") suggesting a 206 lbs. male maximum. It will be virtually impossible for me to lose 40 lbs. and still look healthy, much less lose it in two weeks. I'm unsure as to how i should approach this issue. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
