Deferred

Be very careful on how you "plea" your situation. That also could make or break you in a positive or negative way. If the Dean of Admissions is there, he is a very smart guy and retired Navy Captain.

Would you mind going over what you think would be a BAD idea? I planned on keeping it candid: "I did not have my priorities straight when I received the grade. I take full responsibility for the grade and the consequences therein. However, I have been able to capitalize on that failure and go on to take the class (at a higher level) and make a strong A."

And one doesn't always = the other.:confused::rolleyes::eek:

This is wise counsel. No groveling. Remember what the end game is all about. And it's not admission to USNA. Good luck. This is a "man up" experience to test your mettle. :thumb:

I will just be honest and as candid as possible. Thanks for your advice. I will continue to update as I hear more.

What I am saying is plea-ing might come off as if you are desperate.

Sounds like the right approach to me - unless the "misplaced" priority was dealing with a significant life event like a very sick mom or dad, a parental divorce or something like that. Just be candid and honest as you stated you would in a later post. Just relax and you'll do fine. Being yourself is always the best policy. Be prepared to talk about how you're doing now and how much better that is.

I wish I were young again and in your shoes! :thumb:
