Be very careful on how you "plea" your situation. That also could make or break you in a positive or negative way. If the Dean of Admissions is there, he is a very smart guy and retired Navy Captain.
And one doesn't always = the other.
This is wise counsel. No groveling. Remember what the end game is all about. And it's not admission to USNA. Good luck. This is a "man up" experience to test your mettle.

What I am saying is plea-ing might come off as if you are desperate.
Would you mind going over what you think would be a BAD idea? I planned on keeping it candid: "I did not have my priorities straight when I received the grade. I take full responsibility for the grade and the consequences therein. However, I have been able to capitalize on that failure and go on to take the class (at a higher level) and make a strong A."
