I saw a picture of my basic cadet on webguy. His ID badge had a green cord, which I assume means he is in the Demon squad :shake:. Perfect. In high school he was a Blue Devil.

So, 13, 14, 15, or 16 during the school year. Very different squads in my experience. Watch out for 14 and 15 though, GroogWaugh is in 15 and eagle is in 14! (eagle could even be his flight commander as we speak) :)

The oldest school in our county is the blue devils.

We are the patriots!

I think I remember Eagle from the orientation dinner. He was a nice guy.

It's funny how some things work out. In BCT, my son was an "Interceptor"; which lead to him being in the "Pink Panthers"; which happen to be one of his favorite movies. Now that his first year is over, he's now going to be a "Thunderbird"; which happens to also be what his High School name/mascot was. For 4 years, he was a "Thunderbird". Maybe it's an omen. And now his room mate and him are BOTH from the SAME home town. (Rival High schools, which really pisses off his room mate to have to be a "Thunderbird". LOL!!!) Some times life is weird. mike....

Interesting, I had a lot of friends in 36 (pink panthers)

Interesting indeed. My son loved the pink panthers. Thought it was one of the best squadrons. He's upstairs as I type. I just bought him his Birthday present (Early; he'll be back on the hill for his birthday- mid July) a new MAC Computer. If you knew many of the C4C in 36, you might have known him. Easy to describe. Guy; 5'11; Real SHORT HAIR; wears a lot of BLUE Clothes. Sometimes mixes them up with some brownish/green looking clothes. When he's outside, he wears a hat a lot....... I'm sure you've seen him...... :bang:

Sorry; had to go there. Especially with all the threads parents will be posting on the numerous sites trying to see if they can find their cadet in a picture/video online. I remember when my son was in BCT. My wife found a pic online and printed it. Kept it on the fridge. Proudly bragging to all her friends. My son came home at Thanksgiving and asked: Who's the kid in the picture??? Wife said, it's you. He said; ummm No, it isn't. That's not even my squadron. At least mom was happy for a few months looking at the picture. Even if it wasn't our son. LOL!!!!

Squadrons

My daughter is J-Jaguars for the summer and 40-Warhawks for the academic year.

CC,

I did the SAME thing! I printed a picture from WebGuy--PUT IT IN THE "BASIC" SCRAPBOOK I made this time last year, and then found out later it was NOT my Basic!! It did turn out to be her roommate --so I wasn't too far off! LOL!! It's still in the scrapbook today with a "This is NOT you" note by it! :) I can't tell you how much more enjoyable this June is than last. I really thought I was going to need medication this time last year.

Good luck to all the 2013 parents. I swear I think BCT is harder on the parents!! :)

Good old Cheyenne East Mike.

Yea; my son is stoked about becoming a "Thunderbird" all over again. Last time, he was able to be on the state championship football team. First time the school won in 34 years. He still wears his state championship ring at the academy. He said he'll wear that until he gets his academy ring.

ah, 15 was definitely the coolest squad last year :) it's completely different now though... Dogs of War is where it's at!

Screamin' Demons

My son is a Screamin' Demon and in Squadron 13 (the "Bulldawgs") for the Academic year. This is the first time that he is apart of team with a recognizeable mascot, after coming from a high school whose nickname was "The Hillers" (as in the Hills of Hopkinton that start the Marathon runners on their way (literally downhill) to Boston each Patriot's Day)!:thumb:

nope, i don't have vullnoid's son in my flight, but i do see him often. he's quite a stealth basic right now, but i guess that means he's doing well.

he may remember me from the dinner then too, and he probably doesn't like me right now. i'm often the enforcer of keeping them in line when all Demons are in a brief ;)
