Hi all,

Well I got the TWE in the mail today. I'm kinda disappointed but its not the end of the world. I just wanted to take a quick second and thank thank everyone for all the helpful advice that I got looking at these boards! :thumb: For all of you that have received appointments congrats!! You all have worked very hard for it and I wish you all nothing but the best! As for me I cannot tell you all how much I have grown during this admissions process. I visited my plan B school .... or maybe now its plan A :shake: .... and I loved it!! For me it truly is about being an officer and I'm very excited to have that possibility. Thanks again for all the advice guys! Best of luck to you all.

Kevster; Classy post. :thumb: If being an officer is truly your desire, then definitely hang in there. You'll achieve your dream. Check out the AFROTC if available at your college, and most definitely apply again to the academy if it's something you still want. Best to you Kevster. You're going to do quite well. Later... Mike....

I agree with Christcorp on the classy post. Your long-term of goal of becoming an officer is still alive and well. I commend you on having a plan B. I can't believe people that put all their eggs in one basket. Would you mind sharing what school you're looking at? Best of luck!

Thank you both. Yes I will be doing AFROTC @ the University of Maryland. I met with the cadets in the det yesterday and they were so enthusiastic about AFROTC. It made me really want to be a part of it. As for USAFA.... well I might apply one more time and just see what happens.

Got my TWE today. "As you probably know, the competition to receive an Air Force Academy appointment is intense. Regrettably, we will not be able to offer you an appointment this year. Please know that your record received an in-depth review, however, your overall record was not competitive with those offered appointments." I got accepted to UC Merced and most likely will attend there this fall. Congratulations to all the appointees, I wish you all the best.
