I received an email today telling me that I was not admitted to the Naval Academy. Good Luck to the rest of you.

Best of luck to you - remember when a door closes a window opens!

Hey man,

I can understand how it feels to be denied. The good thing is that you can apply again. You can go to college and improve yourself and then get to the place you want to be. There are alot of options when reapplying to the academy. THE really good thing is you can still contact your BGO and see what was weak in your application and improve in those areas. The USNA LOVES people that reapply. So sit down and realize its not the end of the world, go to your second choice, and if you really want to go the academy....apply again.

Goodluck

Goat: I am so sorry. I was really rooting for you and hoping for the waiver. Send me a pm, I want to know of your back up plan...(really I just want to talk you into A&M!). I know you are heartbroken, however, I believe you will achieve great things where ever you go....

VF: Fearthegoat was waiting for a medical waiver. He had a very strong application, but alas, no waiver.

Oh sorry for not doing enough research of your posts.

Im sorry you weren't admitted. But it seems like at least the USNA is very strict on disqualifiers for medical reasons. I have two friends that were denied because of there vision with both of there waivers denied.

Like jennyp said you will be successful wherever you go especially if you were qualified for USNA.

So sorry to hear this! I have been pulling for you for so long. Remember that you ARE the whole person, and the disqualifier was completely out of your control. I know wherever your future leads, you will always be one of the best and brightest!
