I realize we are just about at the June 1st deadline for dental x-rays, but I am hoping CGA understands that some appointments could not happen any sooner upon acceptance in mid-April. Today my son is having both dental appmt and wisdom teeth extraction. Yuk!! The bite wing films are supposed to be after January 1st. Since I cannot seem to reach an actual dental person at CGA, does anyone know if they are sticklers about that date or if x-rays last November would be acceptable (insurance won't pay if I have to repeat them today). Thanks for any feedback.

I am not sure about the CGA requirements...

.. our orthodontist was kind enough to offer Joyce her panoramic X-rays for "Free". Since xrays only take a couple minutes they had her come in first thing in the morning.

.. our dentist was not as kind, he charged me for the 4 bite wings, his standard price to me was 44.00, which I paid.. they also were able to squeeze her in, again they only took a few moments to do.

I told both of these folks that it was required for entry into the Academy.. obvioulsy one was more grateful for my daughter's desire to serve then the other, because the othordontist didn't charge me.

    Must be after Jan 1

We requested a waiver for xrays taken in December and it was not granted. We had to redo the entire series with our dentist.

honestly i remember none of the forms being that important. i'm pretty sure that they looked for certain things in the file and if someone didnt have something they just did it there (xrays, shots, etc...)

to be clear im not saying that you dont need to have things, do everything you can to have everything they request, but in my experience there were a ton of things that i freaked about having for R day (xrays, copies of all forms, blue running shoes....the list goes on) that ended up not mattering at all.

again, do everything in your power to get it all done, call the Academy for questions, but if something cannot possibly be done, dont sweat it too much.
