DS has had a hard time working in a dentist appointment at USNA. He can go to his dentist here possibly during spring break ---how do we handle that?

I recommend that your DS work on getting an appointment with a military dentist. He is in the military now and there can be issues with getting medical/dental care outside of the military network.

I would bet that if your son put about two ounces of effort he could get an appointment with the dentist. It's usually not that hard, but sometimes might not be tomorrow or exactly the day you would love to have.

I would not recommend anyone get any medical or dental work done by a civilian that was not via referral or prior authorization.

They have to make it work. I had the same discussion with DD not 2 weeks ago.

I second KP2001's recommendation. We too, well mostly the wife, are harping on our cadet to get the annual eye exam for contact lenses. The problem is not being able to get an appointment, it's them making the effort to make the appointment. This is where apron strings need to be cut, it's their responsibility now, not mom or dads.
Cadet/Mids are active duty and especially with dental work, they should be going through military channels.

thanks--he is talking to a youngster to figure out how to make it happen ----new responsibilities and all ---glad they have each other.
