I hope everyone has had a wonderful Thanksgiving this weekend.

I am having a bit of a problem submitting my Candidate Activities Record and was wondering if someone could help me out.

The system continuously pops out that I can only have 2000 characters in the remarks section but I checked on Microsoft Word and I only have 1,992 characters (including the spaces) in the section.

The problem is that I can't really cut anything from my remarks section because I need to explain why my high school doesn't offer any sports, and tell them of all my extracurricular activities that take up my time other than varsity sports.

So a desperate plea of help...

I'm almost done with my application, I only need my CFA and medical exam and I'm done.

Thanks ahead of time for all your advice.

Have you tried contacting your regional director? His/her name and contact info is listed on the candidate information page, after you log into the system from the Academy's website.

I had trouble submitting my CFA results and he was able to get it all straightened out for me.

Thank you Telur very much for your advice. That helped dramatically.

I was able to finish my application...well most of it...I am just missing my CFA and medical exam.

But I also came across another problem. My school counselor and teachers seem unable to recieve emails from the naval academy, such as a the verification of the Candidate Activities Record. Do you know whether the Naval Academy could fax a hard copy out to my counselor?

Thanks again.

Is there any way they'd be willing to give a home email? This seems like a fairly common occurrence. My son's principal had a lot of trouble with the academic record, and we eventually had to have him fax it over because it wouldn't go through, but they then still had to call him and help him get it through online. Otherwise, it seems like it messes up their system.

If nothing else, have your counselor call your Regional Director and see what they recommend. Good luck!

Apparently a lot of schools have firewalls installed that tend to block comm. Have your teacher/principal contact your RD with alternate email addresses.

Best wishes
