Currently I attend UCR but I do MSI class at Azusa Pacific (due to schedule conflict with CMC). I drive to CMC three days a week for PT and lab as well. Because of this, I have to fill up my gas once and sometimes twice a week, and my mom doesn't want to put up with this anymore, since she is the one paying for gas. I work but if I only have enough to cover one tank each week (and it's located next to CMC).

Not sure what I can do at this point, but I would like to continue with the ROTC program. This was one of the main reasons I wanted to transfer schools (i.e. to UCSB)

Edit: I'm also on the borderline of passing the APFT which is why I PT there, otherwise I would not go to PT as often. I also PT with APU

Doesn't Azusa Pacific have PT, You said you attend MS classes there.

If the only place you can PT is CMC then you don't have many options unless you can get a transfer to UCSB.

The fact that are borderline passing the APFT will not help you in your effort to transfer the UCSB ROTC battalion.

Unless you can get the transfer there is really nothing anybody will be able to help you with.

I'm sorry you find yourself in this situation.

APU is night class and I do PT with them. What I meant earlier is I PT four times a week, not drive to CMC. I drive to CMC three times a week. I passed the APFT a few times but other times I failed it (the run) so I'm concerned about that. I want to transfer to UCSB and get my ROTC scholarship back but if I leave the ROTC program I'm afraid it would leave a very bad impression on everyone

Was offered a 4 year scholarship last year but went to the Naval Academy instead. I left the Naval Academy and decided to attend a civilian school, was hoping to attend UCSB but it was full, so currently attending UCR

Vira...have you discussed your situation with your cadre? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you probably shouldn't count on ever getting a scholarship, and based on what you've shared with us so far, you might want to talk to a recruiter about the SMP program, and start considering what career field you plan to go into when you graduate, since the military doesn't seem to be working out for you. Sorry for being a little harsh, but with what I'm seeing on the horizon for Officer producing programs there will be more than enough candidates who don't have issues like marginal PT performance or problems getting to training. If you aren't on board and meeting/exceeding the standards by sophomore year, you probably won't be retained in the program...even in Army ROTC. I wish you luck, and hope things work out for you.

I managed to get a 252 on the APFT today. I don't know if that will make a difference with anything regarding the scholarship but I also got my parents to agree to allow me to do this for at least until Spring FTX
