does everybody show up with a direct deposit account already set up? if not what happens?

You were supposed to give them your bank account information to they can direct deposited there. I don't know if they may you one if you don't have one.

Bring your bank account information with you - it must be a checking account. If you don't have one I think they set one up for you at Pen Fed.

Don't worry - they won't send you away.
