I have taken a MEPS physical and was declared "fit for service". I passed the hearing test and have 20/20 vision. I did fail the colorblindness test, however I passed the red-green test. I only failed the colorblindness test by a small margin due to the navy blue/purple shades which I have difficulty with. I am an avid outdoorsman and navigator (member of orienteering club). I've never had any issues with colorblindness.
However in regards to DODMERB and an ROTC scholarship, would that disqualify me? My first choice upon receiving my commission would be infantry.

Thank you for your time.

Looking forward to receiving some insight.

I know there are people here at USAFA who are red-green color blind. I would assume that is the same thing as the Citadel. The only thing is you won't be able to fly as color blindness is not correctable. Hope this helps.

Thank's for the response Rage. Well I've always loved my boots on the ground, so I'm 100% sure being a pilot won't be in my future. As long as I won't be DQ'd from Infantry I'll be a happy man. However I'm not red-green colorblind, I only failed the PiP test, and passed the red-green test. I was qualified as a "GO" for enlisting into the infantry, so I'm assuming it will correlate on the DODMERB side. Thank's for the insight, hope your enjoying your time at the USAFA.
