Disqualification Notice From DODMERB (Strambius)

Hello all! Our son is a candidate for USMA, USNA and NROTC. We just received a notice from DODMERB that he is being disqualified due to strambius. He had corrective surgery two times as an infant. In all his eye exams this was never brought up as problem. He wears corrective lens, but he is on his JROTC Rifle team, he's the top shooter, and plays rec soccer, all star team 6 years in a row. Any suggestions on how we can fight this and help our son achieve his dream of an academy or rotc career??
 
Repeat your situation/question in a message to L. Mullen via email. His address is in a "sticky" at the top of this discussion list. Be sure to include your son's name and the last 4 digits of his social security number.
