Hello all, happy summer! I have an interesting yet serious question. I am enrolled in a four-year university and will be a sophomore there and am reapplying to USMA.

In a couple months I will be paying rent, out of my pocket, and will be in a different district from my one back at my parents house. Because I am permanently living at the house in my college town, I am changing my voting registration district because the issues and topics are more relevant to me down there (as I am there 9+ months out of the year v. 3 months at my parents house). This is different from my freshman year because I was in a dorm and registered to vote in my hometown.

Does this change my district to which I apply for a nomination? I am over 18, but within the tax codes I am still a dependent for insurance/tax reasons? I don't want to apply to the wrong congressman. Anything helps thanks.

Sounds like your new home would be the district you apply from. Best to call the Representative's office and ask them. They know who their constituents should be.

Alright that's what the liaison for the new district said, that I was now apart of their district. Should I call USMA to verify or is this process completely separate from admissions.

You have to let them know which district you are applying from as well as an updated address.
