Hello all, happy summer! I have an interesting yet serious question. I am enrolled in a four-year university and will be a sophomore there and am reapplying to USMA.
In a couple months I will be paying rent, out of my pocket, and will be in a different district from my one back at my parents house. Because I am permanently living at the house in my college town, I am changing my voting registration district because the issues and topics are more relevant to me down there (as I am there 9+ months out of the year v. 3 months at my parents house). This is different from my freshman year because I was in a dorm and registered to vote in my hometown.
Does this change my district to which I apply for a nomination? I am over 18, but within the tax codes I am still a dependent for insurance/tax reasons? I don't want to apply to the wrong congressman. Anything helps thanks.
