I attended the Diversity Visitation Program this weekend from Thursday to Sunday; I loved the Air Force Academy and everything about it. I wanted to know the advantage of being invited and attending this program; does this mean that they are very seriously interested in me for the Class of 2015? What will it do for my application to USAFA? Thanks.

My daughter was just invited to this last night. I have the same questions for being appointed for for the Class of 2016.

Being identified as a potential candidate is a good thing. Unfortunately, the OP was not selected for the AFA. The AFA does like diversity and that is an important area of your overall score. How much it impacts, very few people know. Concentrate on your DD's application and make it as strong as possible. Practice the CFA, retake the SAT/ACT as many times as possible to maximize her score, and have DD be in contact with her ALO to shore up any potential weaknesses in her application.

Diversity does matter, but make sure the rest of your DD's package is as strong as it can be. Good luck :thumb:.
