Do applicants get a notice one way or the other?

My son is an applicant with all items checked off on the progress page, 2 nominations, cleared Dobmerb, and qualified on fitness…. portals has status of “pending” for the longest time. I know April 15th is the majority of decisions (or so we hear), but now my son is wondering if you even find out if you are not accepted. Very limited information on this front and BG officer is non-responsive which is concerning. Any thoughts from those that have gone through this, much appreciated!

Generally, most candidates will receive one of the following by April 15th:

- Turned down
- Offered a full appointment
- Offered a conditional appointment
- Waitlisted
- Offered a NAPS appointment
- NAPS waitlisted
- Offered a Foundation program

I got waitlisted then rejected in late may/early june. Patience is hard, especially when its not your choice and everything changes if you get the green light.

Received waitlist notice today and portal does update indicating the waitlist status. Back to sitting tight and praying, and putting a deposit on his 2nd choice since waitlist says note says decisions will be made after 2nd week of May up to possibly June 1st. Staying hopeful until then - good luck everyone
