My ACT super score goes as follow:
-35 English
-31 Math
-27 Reading
-27 Science

-30 composite

I know my reading and science scores are a bit low, but can my English score off set this? I am going to try to improve everything, but I've taken the ACT 2 times and have had ranging scores, so i don't know if I will be able to make any more significant improvement. Thanks!

You have 2 above average scores and 2 below average scores. A lot depends on the rest of your application and your competition. Your scores are not going to beat open the doors of admission. You should consider an ACT prep class or at least an ACT prep book. Many are available on-line. Consider taking the SAT if you can afford to. If your district is competitive and you can afford to, I would definitely re-take the ACT.

Agree with Dad. Take the ACT as many times as you can if you are serious about USAFA. Two times is not that times. One of the ALOs here recommends continuing taking the exam unless you have a perfect score! My DS took it something like 7 times. ACT and SAT scores can be improved with practice and your current score may or may not be competitive depending on your competition and the rest of your application. Also remember that USAFA superscores taking the best score in each of the 4 sections. So you can focus on improving on one or two sections at a time knowing that the scores from other sections are already in the bag.

As Dad said, also try the SAT if you haven't already. Students tend to do better on one exam than the other exam. I believe you are a Junior so there are lots test dates left.

We didn't realize that you can BUY the exact test that you take with the answers. It's not offered on every ACT test but definitely try to buy every test! Never doubt that ACT itself is a money-making business. But that is the game that needs to be played.

I'd then hone in on the areas that you didn't do as well on. I do know that the science section is somewhat of the luck of the draw. Consider taking of of these courses http://www.kaptest.com/College/ACT/...33156&ef_id=SStPE-WjC14AAIPC:20130226125655:s
We looked at all of them for my DS and DD. Kaplin has the most comprehensive and best bang for the buck. These courses will help you in any college and worth the $$"s.

If you were like my son, his main problem was that he ran out of time. So that Kaplin course pushed his ACT score up by working on efficiency techniques. But if he didn't buy the tests, he would not have recognized how well he did before he got most everything wrong (by guessing on the questions before running out of time).

Good luck!
