The breaks over summer are not fixed. Summer is divided into three blocks (apparently). When they are free depends on which block(s) they draw for training purposes. Christmas seems pretty straight-forward and it looks like they get 2 - 2.5 weeks. I don't expect the mids know themselves until rather late in the spring. I'm sure an alumni can expand on this.
