Do training dates change?

Hello all,

I just received a PDF from cadre with my EAD (FEB 2016) and 2 other dates:

IFT (MARCH 2016)
UPT (LATE 2016)

I was just wondering if my 2 training dates will change? I know that EAD dates change quite often, but from my knowledge training dates do not ever change. Any help would be great!

Yes they can go earlier or later, lately you hear about pushbacks more than anything

Zero is correct they can change. Kevster got bumped back two or three times while he was on casual status. He is to finally start in Nov. He went casual status back in January and was originally suppose to start in April. I would be prepared to expect your UPT date to be pushed back.

The caveat is if you are coming in via ANG or AFRES. Those guys/gals typically stay on their timetable because they are going back to their unit. The unit does not want to place them on casual while waiting for a school slot, thus rarely get pushed back to another class date once the orders are written.

It will be interesting to see how they will be able to get UPT back on track. They have been running at 100% forever now and they still can't pump them out fast enough. In reality the AF has to be thankful that we didn't have any hurricanes this year because that could have caused issues at Columbus.

This is also true for schoolhouses too when it comes to airframe schools regarding a lagtime wait.
~ Most schoolhouses now run their simulators around the clock, 6 1/2 days a week. There were times my DS had a sim at 2 a.m. on Friday or Saturday night.
