At his point you will be on the National Waiting List (assuming that you are fully qualified in all three areas) consisting of hundreds of hopefuls such as you. Your position on that list is based on numbers... SAT/ACT scores, High School class standing/grades, leadership qualifications and fitness test performance... with standardized scores/class standing/grades having the greatest weight. Many people from the NWL will receive appointments and hundreds will not. You may be high enough on the list already and you may not, it depends on the strength of your scores and the stength of the competition. Only time will tell.

All you can do at this point is improve your position on that list with new scores/information. Retake and submit new/improved SAT/ACTs (that's what helped my son the most... he took each 3 times). Update your file with new activity/honors/leadership information.

Contact your MALO and ask for suggestions on how to improve your file. The MALOs know best where any deficiencies may lie.

    Good luck!
