My daughter is in the process of applying to the academies. She filled out her DoDMERB questionnaire last week, had her eye exam earlier this week and her medical exam today. Eye exam was no problem. At the conclusion of her physical, the doctor said "you are all set, I am clearing you."

What does that mean? Does my daughter go to the next step in the DoDMERB process? If so, what are the next steps and how long do they take? Does it mean the medical portion of the application process is near an end and a DoDMERB "you're qualified" letter should be forthcoming shortly?

Any advice is appreciated.

jnr, your DD has cleared a major hurdle :thumb:,but.....
Keep in mind the exam she just took is an opinion of her current medical condition. Just as important is her medical history. What she input on the medical history form will determine if she is medically qualified, DQ or will be asked to provide additional medical information ( AKA remedial). Hopefully no adverse medical history. If you get a remedial then you will be asked for additional medical information. Get what thay ask for ASAP and follow the instructions and the process will go smoothly. If you do get a DQ all is not lost. There are several folks on this forum that received a DQ (my DS included) and stiil were able to get a waiver. Don't worry about crossing that bridge at this point. Just wait for DoDMERB to do their thing. You should have a Q, remedial or DQ sometime next week. Best of luck to your DD.

Thanks for quick reply and detailed info of what to expect next. I appreciate your help!
