Doctor visit while away from academy

I have a question-my son is home on leave and is sick, are we responsible for it or does the academy pay for it, what about prescriptions?

Tri care will cover it but he has to go to a doctor that accepts tricare. Almost all pharmacies will accept tricare for the prescription.

Sick while on leave

Your cadet should have a small piece of paper with information on what he/she needs to do/contact while away from the academy.

Call up the Cadet Clinic and they will walk you through this. We needed "authorization" and gave the gentleman the name and phone number where our preppie needed to be seen over the holidays. They handled the Tricare for us...he stated that they, themselves needed to know what was going on with the cadet. That was our experience.
