DoD plays politics with football...

Since 1976, the service academies have had 36 football scheduled during 14 government shutdowns, and all 36 went off as scheduled. So why are games potentially being cancelled now?

Well, perhaps its the constant campaign mode of the White House.....

I'm guessing it included some idiot staffer along the way (as dumb ideas usually do).
 
The administration is trying to replay the Clinton playbook from the shutdown in the 90s just as they did at the start of the sequester (remember shutting down White House tours?). I remember visiting West Point with my three year old son at that time (now said midshipman in my tag line). Tours weren't running and supposedly we weren't allowed on the site. We walked around anyway. It seems this is back-firing somewhat for the current administration.
 
We thought about gathering the tourists on K Street and giving them a tour of our very non-historic building... at least they'll have something to look at. I'll even let them sit in a chain in my office. :wink:
