So i recently went in and did my physical and eye exam. I passed the eye exam which is the one i thought, "if something is going to d/q me its gunna be this" well, that came back perfect with no problems. well the at the physical the doctor informed me that i have a heart murmur, something i never knew til that day. so considering it has never been a problem what do you think dodmerb will decide?

I have scheduled my echo for wednesday and the nurse that i talked to basically told me that if its something you didnt know about chances are it wont be an issue and they will give you a clean bill of health.

from prior experiences what do ya"ll think about it?

Your nurse is right, odds are really, really good that it is an innocent murmur. If the echocardiogram turns out normal, then you are normal.

Can't imagine DODMERB would have a problem if the echo is OK, but there are others with more insight to that.

Have a good Memorial Day weekend and don't worry about it, I'm betting you're good to go. :thumb:

    E-Mails to Larry Mullen

Have had at least numerous emails bounced back in the last three days. Is there a problem with the server or the address?

I had the same thing come up. After the echo and some emails to Mr. Mullen, everything proceeded as normal. Odds are this will not affect your application at all.

    MVP History

My candidate will be doing his DODMERB exam this summer. He was told he had mild MVP (Mitral Valve Prolapse) a few years ago but has no symptoms. This manifests itself as faint murmur that some doctors can't even detect. How should we handle this at the exam? What is most likely outcome?
