DoDmerb basics.

Hello United States of America Service Academy Forums!

From what i know this is the dreaded DoDmerb. now can someone tell me what this consists of? Is it just a medical test? Or does it involve PT?

DODMERB is a physical exam and an eye exam. There is no PT - that is covered in a separate PT test specific to the program to which you are applying.

The medical test is a standard physical exam. Be prepared to undress. There is also a reading component and you will be asked to read a paragraph out loud to assess for a speech disorder.
The eye exam is a separate trip to an eye doctor for an eye test.

There is also a medical history component to the DODMERB exam. This is an integral part of the process and it's critical that you complete it thoroughly and honestly. Get a parent to help you if necessary.
 
DS has completed his DODMerb exams. Any rough idea about how long it takes for the results to be posted?

In 2011, it took only 2 weeks between the exam and the qualified notification. They try to process as quickly as possible.

Bingo. Every case is unique...not only from a medical standpoint but also an administrative standpoint. From Concorde's end -- we're doing everything we can to process as quickly as possible. :thumb:
