Dodmerb blood pressure

They should have taken it 2 times and then gone with the lower of the two readings. If the lowest reading was the 145/70 then they will give you a remedial to check it over 3 consecutive days and average the readings. Hopefully this will get you under the magic numbers (140/90)

Even after being in healthcare I still have "white coat syndrome". My BP at my DoDMERB physical was close to 150/90. As a young kid there aren't many differential diagnoses or co-morbidities to warrant you having a a constant physiological high pressure. Granted you might have a familial history of HTN, but I don't think a level like that would be a immediate DQ. Remember BP fluctuates a lot during the day...

Plus your diastolic was within normal range, which is a big positive and makes me think you were just nervous.

I know that they do a medical exam again on I day at the USNA. They may check blood pressure again as a part of this, however I would think that Blood Pressure would be an issue for many at I Day.

I know that they draw blood on I Day, but haven't read anywhere that they check blood pressure.

Yes, I agree that many if not all would have blood pressure issues during I day. Parents too!
