Our DD was recently offered a CGAS spot. Back in Oct. she was DQ'd by Dodmerb. Both USMA and USAFA pursued and granted a waiver, but neither USNA nor USCGA pursued a waiver, but she was offered the CGAS spot...what happened there? Dodmerb told us that we would be informed when/if waivers were initiated. But obviously either CGA did pursue a waiver and we haven't yet been informed (unlikely since it was close to a month ago) or waivers aren't requires for the Scholars program?

It reminds me of a quote from Blazing Saddles - "We don't need no stinking waivers!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqomZQMZQCQ

CGAS Program has the same medical accession standards as direct entry, so she must be under review for a medical waiver if she wasn't qualified by DoDMERB. If you want to send me her name via pm I can confirm her status.

Clarification: DD was offered a spot on the CGAS wait list. Thanks Objee for explaining that if she gets called up from the wait list the waiver process will come into play.
