I guess the benefit of getting things done early.... DS completed medical last week (along with vision and audio), and DodMerb site updated today as "Qualified" for both USNA and USMMA. Only 7 days from appointment date to status on Dodmerb site. Not bad!

So, does that make him Triple Q'd? CFA Completed as NASS, and full application completed. So far, process has been without any snags. Only thing left is the MOC interviews/nominations.

✔ Scholastically Qualified
✔ Athletically Qualified
✔ Medically Qualified
✘ MOC Nomination

Turn that ✘ into a ✔ and he has a 75% chance of appointment.

Wow, thanks Luigi! What are the stats for USCGA since no Nom is needed?

He did very well at AIM and was pulled aside by the Cadre (in a very positive way) and spoken to about his evaluation. He is looking forward to that application opening up.

I don't think he has an actual prediction for your son regarding statistics, Luigi went off the numbers given for any 3Q + Nom candidate (you also don't know for certain if he is 3Q unless you've somehow already received a letter saying so). If he does get 3Q + Nom then he will compete within congressional district (as well as senatorial etc.), his real chances lie in that pool until he gets the appt/gets beaten, then to NWL if he doesn't earn it off any noms.

In regard to USCGA - I think it is a little harder to guess on admission chances because it is so small. I have been told that they have the lowest percentage of acceptance compared with their number of applicants. There a CG admissions guy on this forum - Objee, who has been very helpful to many people.
