Like many others my daughter just found out that she has been selected for an Army 4 year scholarship. A few minutes ago we went on the DoDMERB website that was included in her initial status change to set up her account and hopefully schedule her physical. After setting up the account and signing on we were surprised by the following message. She has also applied to AFROTC and NROTC but we have not heard anything yet from either of those programs. Strange that the following doesn't even mention the Army. Does this mean what it seems?

I think it means you have some great news heading your way! :thumb:
Congrats to your Daughter!!!!

Choices Choices Choices-Congrats

Now the choices and decisions. From our experience.... No reference yet to Army ROTC is not a surprise. It took 3-4 workdays after the goarmy website was updated for the DoDMERB site to be updated. In our case we could not even get into the DoDMERB site. You're lucky the NROTC hit earlier...

I agree. I was surprised when the site initially allowed us to set up an account (yesterday we received an error message that there was no information for that SSN & DOB). The when we saw the Navy info and the date....it was a heck of a coincidence that we tried the exact same day as the Navy sent our information to DodMerb and the day after the Army sent us the link. Curiouser and curiouser.

As far as choices, we still have to find out what school(s) the Navy has approved (if in fact my daughter has been awarded a NROTC scholarship) and what the Air Force is going to do. The wrench in the works has always been the AFROTC and their pesky "Type" scholarships. Don't worry, I'm not going off on that topic again.

Thanks Singaporemom! Congrats to you and your son also. :thumb:
